Almost five years in San Cristóbal de las Casas, twenty-five in international real estate, one off-grid house built by hand in the mountains just outside the city.
Los Alcanfores, San CristóbalI am lucky enough to have lived in San Cristóbal de las Casas for almost 5 years. I came here just for a visit back in 2021, and fell in love with the place, the people, the beautiful nature and the energy.
Since deciding to stay, I have purchased residential property and even built an off-grid home in the heart of the stunning mountains a little way outside of the city.
I live here in Chiapas very happily with my daughter, our two dogs and a horse, and after a fantastic 25 year career at the sharp end of international real estate, working with luxury developers from Thailand, Bali and the Philippines all the way to Ibiza and the Caribbean, and having consulted for groups such as Six Senses, Raffles and Aman, I have learned a thing or two.
